Our mission is to support all families at any stage of their lactation journey. Lactation includes breastfeeding, chestfeeding, body feeding, pumping, or any preferred terms associated with babies consuming human milk. We are committed to providing individualized, unbiased, evidence-based lactation support. We acknowledge, accept, and celebrate our diverse community and strive to support all individuals at C-UPHD, regardless of: age, race, ethnicity, religion, language, national origin/citizenship/immigration status, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, family/marital status, or disability. We understand that every lactation journey is unique and aim to create an open space for individuals to share their experiences and perspectives to better serve our community.

Milk Moments: Lactation Support Group

Are you seeking breastfeeding support and community? Please join us for Milk Moments: Lactation Support Group, a welcoming and inclusive space for anyone who is breastfeeding, chestfeeding, or lactating, and anyone in their support circle. This monthly event is held at the Champaign Public Library from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. the second Monday of each month (October’s meeting will be held on 10/6 due to the holiday). It is free with no registration required and led by our local WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselors, Certified Lactation Specialists, and Certified Lactation Counselors.

Whether you're just starting out on your breastfeeding journey or looking for ongoing support, help is available! Milk Moments: Lactation Support Group offers a safe, relaxed space to share your experiences, ask questions, connect with other breastfeeding families, and receive encouragement.
