C-UPHD has a walk-in family planning clinic at our site on Kenyon Road. The family planning clinic offers STD testing, contraceptives, reproductive health exams, and pregnancy health education. CUPHD also has a mobile family planning clinic that visits area schools. Go to our family planning clinic webpage for more information.
The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (C-UPHD) receives grant funding through the PREP program. The Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) aims to reduce teen pregnancies and their negative consequences, as well as sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and associated risk behaviors.
PREP programs are expected to (1) be evidence-based, (2) provide education on both abstinence and contraceptive use, and (3) educate youth on at least three of six adulthood preparation topics. Programs are also encouraged to target their programming to high-risk populations. More information on PREP
