Oct 20, 2005 Flu Shots Available to All at Public Health
October 24 and 31 Clinics at Public Health Main Building in Champaign

Public Health will offer its next two adult flu shot clinics on Monday, October 24 and Monday, October 31, and will open the clinic to all adults, regardless of age or health status.

Public Health has ordered 1,500 adult and 250 child doses of influenza vaccine for the season and has received a total of 600 adult and 180 child doses of vaccine so far.

October 17 Flu Clinic Will Target Adults at High Risk for Complications from the Flu

The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District will offer the first adult flu shot clinic of the season on October 17, and is urging people 65 years of age and older, those with chronic medical conditions, residents of long-term care facilities and health care workers with direct patient care to attend. Health Check Clinic on October 5 Canceled; Three Other Clinics Offered in October

Five Champaign-Urbana Public Health District nurses will travel to Springfield on October 5 to participate in a ceremony honoring them as recipients of the 2005 Governor's Unique Achievement Award. The state gives the award to nominees from each district of the Illinois Department on Aging. This year the East Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging selected the Health District division of Community Health Nursing for the award.
