"We've been smokefree for over a year, and we want to offer more for everyone including people who cannot be around second-hand smoke." -John Schmitt, owner, Ned Kelly's
URBANA - Ned Kelly's restaurant and bar will hold a fund-raiser for The C-U Smokefree Alliance on Friday, April 21, from 9-11 p.m. Performer G. Lee will play acoustic guitar, and 10% of all sales during the event will go to The C-U Smokefree Alliance.
Ned Kelly's owner John Schmitt is marking his restaurant's first smoke-free year by supporting the organization that helped convince him to completely eliminate cigarette smoke from his establishment. "I support the efforts of C-U Smokefree because this issue is larger than me, larger than Ned Kelly's," he said. "It's about having a healthy community, and wanting what's best for everyone."
