Both Were Members Since the Early Days of the Champaign County Board of Health
Members of the Champaign County Board of Health expressed their deep appreciation last night to Board President Dr. Doug Wright and Board Member Dr. Safwat Wahba for their long and meritorious service on behalf of the citizens of Champaign County. Both Dr. Wright and Dr. Wahba retired from the county board of health last night.
Both members have served on the Board since shortly after its inception in 1996. During that time they devoted their time, talent and efforts to meeting the mission of the county board of health, which is "to promote health, prevent disease, and lessen the impact of illness through the effective use of community-wide resources."
