Champaign, IL - Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Director, Dr. Damon T. Arnold, will host a press conference September 24, 2009 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm at the Richard T. Ubben Basketball Complex in the men's practice gym located at 1750 South Fourth Street in Champaign. Dr. Arnold is making a state-wide tour encouraging Illinoisans to get their seasonal flu shot.
The program will highlight speakers including IL Department of Public Health Director, Dr. Damon T. Arnold; University of Illinois Director of McKinley Health Center, Dr. Robert Palinkas; Champaign-Urbana Public Health District Administrator, Julie A. Pryde; University of Illinois Director of Sports Medicine, Al Martindale, and the University of Illinois Women's Basketball Coach, Jolette Law who will be addressing the importance of receiving seasonal flu shots. Several men's and women's U of I basketball players will be receiving their seasonal flu shots on-site.
