Local sponsors are having their annual Light the Night event this Thursday where they install 800 FREE light sets for people who don't have lights on their bikes. The lights are completely free and their volunteers install them. There is generally quite a line, but for anyone without lights on their bicycle, it's well worth the wait. One thing to note is that they will not give the lights to people, but install them on their bikes. So, it is necessary for people to bring their bicycle.
Although this event is funded by CATS (Campus Area Transportation Study), they always encourage those in need in our community to come out and take advantage of getting a FREE bicycle light set.
