We have started a new program called A Book of My Own at Public Health. The program makes books available in our library for children to read while they are here and to take and read at home.
Since the program Began in December more than 1,000 books have been made available to children visiting the Health Department. Administrator julie pryde says children and parents both enjoy reading together while they wait.
Books have been donated by staff members as well as the Urbana Free Library. If you have any children's books you would like to donate to "A Book of My Own" you can drop them off at out main office at 201 W. Kenyon Road (see link at top of this page for a map) or call 217-352-7961.
