Vital Statistics

Vital statistics for several years have been mapped as a part of the regular health research. Data for the number of deaths and births within Champaign County for the year 2008 was received towards the end of the year 2009. As per the given data, the total number of births and deaths recorded in the year 2008 were 3,501 and 1507 respectively. Also out of the total given data, 98 percent were successfully geocoded. Maps were prepared showing the distribution of vital statistics analyzing them with respect to sex, race, poverty, age and pregnancy.
