Plan review fees
(A) New construction or conversion of existing structures:
X 100 to 1,000 square feet - $200
X over 1,000 to 10,000 square feet - $300
X over 10,000 to 50,000 square feet - $400
X over 50,000 square feet and up - $500
(B) Extensive Remodel or change of owner: 75% or greater of (A)
X 100 to 1,000 square feet - $150
X over 1,000 to 10,000 square feet - $225
X over 10,000 to 50,000 square feet - $300
X over 50,000 square feet and up - $375
(C) Minor remodel: less than 75% of (A)
X 100 to 1,000 square feet - $100
X over 1,000 to 10,000 square feet - $150
X over 10,000 to 50,000 square feet - $200
X over 50,000 square feet and up - $250
Regular permit fees
Category 1 - $400 (April 1 - September 30) $200 (October 1 - March 31)
Category 2 - $300 (April 1 - September 30) $150 (October 1 - March 31)
Category 3 - $150 (April 1 - September 30) $75 (October 1 - March 31)

Regular permit fees and city license fees should not be submitted until your facility is ready to open. Please do not submit them with your plan review information.

Champaign - $20
Urbana - $80 annual / $55 mobile / $50 seasonal or temporary
Special fees
Temporary Events (one day) - $50
Temporary Events (two to fourteen consecutive days) - $75
Seasonal Permit (up to six months) - $125
Re-inspection Fee - $25 per hour
Permit reinstatement Fee - $50
Late Fee - $25
Sewage program fees
Private Sewage System Permit - $200
Variance - $200
Sewage Code Book - $5
Plat Review 1-10 Lots $200
Each lot over 10 $15
Water program fees
Private Water Well Permit - $100 (payable to the Illinois Department of
